The owners of a duplex apartment with an upstairs terrace wished to make improvements to the apartment design, which was original to the low-budget coop re-development in the mid-80's. In particular they desired to open the master bedroom to their beloved garden, maximize use of the upper floor, and replace worn-out finishes.
