Rooftop Solar Arrays
Location: NYC, five boroughs
Since 2008 I have worked with photovoltaic solar installers on over 40 rooftop solar arrays across NYC.
These projects include arrays of every type, including some of the largest and most intricate as well as many of the simplest kind. They have been installed on the roof of every type of building, from marquee new construction projects to landmarked brownstones, from commercial warehouses to wood-framed single family homes.
Services have included obtaining DoB approvals, design, structural, and expediting assistance, and drafting subcontractor submittals. I have worked with installers to successfully resolve plan examiner objections, obtain FDNY variances, and appeal faulty solar-related code interpretations to DoB Technical Affairs.
